Gabriele Cotronei (they/he) is a joyful queer human being in continuous becoming, regularly challenging his internal status quo with a deep love for truth.
With a background in philosophy and the humanities, he has been interested in what this being human exactly is, since he started studying ancient Greek mythology as a child. He has since moved to the perennial philosophies, TCM, traditional medicine healing practices, and ecopsychology, while continuing his work as a psychotherapist.
He has trained in the Tavistock Institute's M7 Psychoanalytic child and family observational studies, Somatic attachment and trauma therapy, DBT, and hypnotherapy. He is currently completing an MSc in Body Psychology and Body Psychotherapy, a training in Neurodynamic Breathwork, and has started a propaedeutic analysis in Jungian Analytic Psychology.
They have the honor of having been supervised and worked with great therapists, traditional medicine doctors, acupuncturists, and psychedelic facilitators.
They have had the privilege of supporting the training of psychedelic facilitators, with love, care, and dedication to their growth and capacity of making space for the unconscious and the unknown.
The mission of his work is in being redundant in his clients' lives as effectively as possible, supporting them to internalize a good enough therapist and their inner healing wisdom, to autonomously navigate the beauties and complexities of what it means to be alive.
This founded in true and deep consent work with each and every client: supporting them to identify it within their bodies, minds, and hearts, and empowering them to honor it.
It is a therapy that deeply honors the other's unconscious defenses, offering questions that stimulate but don't force, guide but do not take away autonomy.
Further, it is based in empowering to find alternatives to suffering. We cannot do deep work without the conditions that open to a possibility of a full life.
After years of working in public mental health in varied settings and with varied populations and in the psychedelic space as a psychedelic assisted therapy therapist, facilitator, and consultant, he decided to branch off and create more of what he wanted to see in the world.
From this, Entheotherapy was born as a response to the crisis of the ecosystem we are in. This entails bringing together different people from different paths and with different passions, to sit together as equals at the table of diversity to craft new forms of care. Integrating art and music, dance, food, the body, thought and spirit, individual and collective, seen and unseen into a unique approach to care for the (more than) human ecosystem.
The hope, is that together we can become consistently, playfully, and queeringly aware of our blind spots, so that we can see more, be more, contribute more, give more and consume less, as we align with what is beyond the Anthropocene.
